The Dump Furniture Outlet’s Annoying TV Commercials

Has anybody seen the latest commercials for The Dump Furniture Outlet?

“Wise Up, Bigshot: The Once a Year Clearance”

More specifically, has anybody been able to tolerate the rather annoying woman who does all the speaking in a rather insulting manner?

The Dump Furniture Outlet 2019 commercial

When I first noticed this irritating woman last month, I was hoping that it was a quick, one-time gimmick.  Normally commercials for The Dump are rather bland with some guy doing a cheesy and rather dopey voiceover, telling us all about whatever sale they’re running that weekend.  They were repetitive and mostly predictable, but they seemed to do the job.

About a month ago I noticed that The Dump suddenly changed their TV commercials and switched to this blonde woman.  She’s a young lady with an aggressive, in-your-face attitude who insults you for not shopping at her store.  After insulting you, she basically taunts and dares you to shop at The Dump, making it a personal challenge to prove her wrong.

LOL.  No.  No way in hell.

I understand that sometimes companies choose to do shocking or controversial commercials simply to get people talking about the advertisement and, in turn, the company itself.  The scenes and images stick to your mind and for a while you’re more focused on that particular company.

But that’s not the case here.

In these latest commercials for The Dump, the woman is just annoying as hell.  Her looks, her demeanor, her insulting words, all of it.  There’s nothing friendly, informative, or even inviting in this advertisement.  Oh, you’re having yet another sale?  So what.  After seeing your company’s commercials for the past few years, you presented the appearance of having some sort of “everything must go” or clearance sale every single weekend.  So why are you just now choosing to insult us?

While some people are turned on by this kind of attitude, the vast majority of customers do not like being called stupid right to their face, especially from a young woman who looks and has the mannerisms like an urbanite, social justice warrior.

If I need to purchase any new furniture in the near future, I can assure you that it will NOT be at The Dump.
